Colorado Bomb Shelters and Fallout Shelters / Safe Rooms

Our
Story
Land Systems West was built on real‑world engineering, not theory. Our roots go back to Leadville, Colorado and Flathead Valley Montana with a Gold Dredging project in the Bering Sea, where we were modifying shipping containers into fully sustainable pontoons for gold‑dredging operations. Working alongside underwater excavators in brutal conditions, we learned quickly that every weld, every seal, and every structural decision had to hold up against forces far more punishing than anything on land.
Those years taught us how to reinforce steel for pressure, how to create controlled environments inside hostile ones, and how to build systems that simply could not fail. That experience became the backbone of our transition into hardened structures here in Colorado.
When we returned inland, the skill set translated naturally. The same principles that kept crews alive and equipment functioning in the Bering Sea became the foundation for designing bomb shelters, fallout shelters, and safe rooms capable of withstanding modern threats while having main comforts of basic home life. The work wasn’t theoretical — it was a continuation of the same engineering discipline we had already proven under extreme conditions.
As demand grew, we partnered with Bunkle to take on larger builds and integrate advanced CBRN‑rated materials. Together, we now deliver shelters and safe rooms that combine field‑tested durability with modern protective technologies.
From ocean‑grade pontoons to Colorado‑built bomb shelters Fallout rooms and protective structures, our story has always been about one thing: engineering safety where it matters most.
